Vietnamese game development studio Gear Games has secured $5 million in funding to accelerate the global expansion of its new card battler, Arcane Rush: Auto Battler. The financing is being provided by Metica, combining non-dilutive capital with user acquisition and monetisation support.
The deal allows Gear Games to scale the title without giving up equity, while leveraging Metica’s expertise to drive sustainable growth.
Unlike traditional investment rounds, Metica’s financing model focuses on non-dilutive funding, paired with hands-on operational support. According to Metica co-founder Justin Stolzenberg, the partnership is designed to help Arcane Rush scale globally while preserving ownership for the development team.
Metica will support Gear Games with user acquisition strategy, monetisation optimisation, and performance scaling, aligning with the studio’s long-term ambitions for the title.
Gear Games brings more than 15 years of experience in mobile game development, offering flexible partnership models tailored to collaborators. The studio’s co-development credits include major mobile hits such as Marvel Strike Force, WWE Champions, and Angry Birds Match.
Beyond co-development, Gear Games provides full-cycle game development, including alpha-to-launch production, QA and testing, live operations, event management, and KPI-driven performance optimisation to support long-term growth.
Arcane Rush places players in a mystical fantasy setting, combining deck-building mechanics, hero abilities, and tactical auto-battler combat. Players can build customised decks, summon allies, and adapt strategies to evolving battlefield conditions.
The game features a growing roster of heroes, collectible cards, and progression systems designed to reward planning and strategic decision-making as players climb competitive ranks.
With Metica’s financing and growth support in place, Gear Games aims to expand Arcane Rush’s reach across global markets while continuing to refine its systems and live content.
The partnership reflects a broader trend toward alternative funding models in mobile gaming—where studios seek capital and expertise without sacrificing equity—especially as competition intensifies in the card battler and strategy space.
By combining a proven development background, a strategy-focused new IP, and non-dilutive growth capital, Gear Games is positioning Arcane Rush for long-term scalability. The collaboration with Metica highlights how studios are increasingly pairing creative control with performance-driven growth models to compete at a global level.
