Istanbulâs mobile gaming scene just produced another serious signal moment.
TaleMonster Games has raised $30 million in a Series A funding round to aggressively scale its debut title, Match Valley, and accelerate development on a second game planned for launch later this year.
Â
The round was co-led by Arcadia Gaming Partners and Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Point72 Ventures and General Catalystâfollowing TaleMonsterâs $7M seed round in May 2025.
Founded by former Peak Games developers, TaleMonster was created with a clear thesis:
casual puzzle players are evolvingâand the genre needs to evolve with them.
The studio, now a 32-person team, set out to blend accessibility with depthâwithout tipping fully into midcore complexity.
That philosophy shows up clearly in Match Valley, which combines:
Familiar match-style puzzle mechanics
Hero progression systems
Tower defense-inspired strategic layers
The result is a casual-first experience with meaningful long-term engagement, a balance many studios struggle to hit.
CEO and co-founder İrem SĂŒmer framed the studioâs vision clearly:
âOur goal is to set new standards for what casual games can offer. Todayâs players are far more experienced than before. This audience has been playing mobile games for yearsâand now theyâre looking for more depth.â
She added:
âWe see a major opportunity to meet this shift in expectations at scale. Our mission is to create games that surprise players, challenge them, and evolve alongside them.â
With Series A capital secured, TaleMonster is focused on two priorities:
Scaling Match Valley globally, expanding content, live-ops, and player retention systems
Launching a second title later this year, building on the studioâs core design philosophy
The funding allows TaleMonster to move faster without compromising product ambitionâan increasingly rare luxury in todayâs capital environment.
Casual gaming is no longer about simplicityâitâs about smart depth.
Studios like TaleMonster are betting that the next generation of breakout puzzle games wonât come from reinventing the genre, but from layering strategy, progression, and personality onto proven foundations.
With $30M in fresh capital, elite backers, and a product already showing traction, TaleMonster is positioning itself as one of Turkeyâs most closely watched studios heading into 2026.
Perfect for developers, publishers, investors, and mobile gaming enthusiasts looking to stay updated on whatâs scaling, whatâs trending, and where the next big opportunity is emerging.
